Well I watched the video "The Mind-Awake and Asleep". And i learned the counciousness is a very important thing to human beings. Without it we would definately die. Also i learned that dreams are usually mad up of what is in our mind and us trying to make sense of it. It's relavent to me because i really enjoy finding out about dreams and the whole mystery of why we dream and how the brain works. And just how truely powerful it is. Another thing i learned also being the same thing that suprises me the most is how much we do without even thinking about it. I mean, i've always known this. But when i really just sit down and think about it, it really suprises me. I don't think i really disagree with anything because really i don't know too much about the brain and dreams and such. So i really don't have an opinion to disagree with stuff with. Because i truely don't know that much.

Research is important because if you don't do any research you won't have any credibility to back up your idea. Research that would be relevant to me is perhaps students who have diabetes do worse in school than other students. This would be relevant to me because I have diabetes and am a student in school. One new thing is about how psychologists study animals. This is important because its good to understand how different species learn and behave. Another thing i learned is about culture-shared ideas and behaviors tha one generation passes on the next. This is important because culture often shapes our behaviors, and it is important to see how different people act in different cultures. The third thing i learned is about the ethical tests done on humans. I'm not gonna lie, i thought the whole "shock experiment" was used alot in pyschology. But i learned that safe and more friendly tests are much more common. This is important because it is not right to hurt another human being in any type of experiment or study.

Well i thought psychology first encompassed just a basic study of the mind sort of. Like it just had to do with disorders i guess. I really don't know how to explain it. I didn't know we would be studying all of these specialists and almost like the history of psychology.
I think psychology affects my life in the same way it affects everybody's lives. We all have a mind. And i think we all want to know about human behavior and whatnot. So basically i think it's really cool and somewhat imoportant to atleast sort of look into psychology.
I think the most interesting thing i read about chapter one was the use surveys. To me surveys were always just things people did to get a vote of something or to see how well a product would sell etc. But the fact that it could be used for psychology reasons is interesting to me. Ecspecially with how it can show what people think in different nations and such.
